5Awesome sun hat!Jun 24, 2010
If you want a hat that keeps AAL sun off your littles one face and neck this is the hat for you. It covers so well that my son has a bit of a hard time seeing out from under it! (I did buy one size bigger so that I can hopefully use next year too!) Great hat.

5Great hat for baby's first summerApr 27, 2010
I bought this hat on a friend's suggestion. She lives in Arizona so she knows sun protection. My daughter is 5 months old and doesn't mind wearing this hat and it worked very well to protect her head, face and shoulders from the sun on our vacation to Florida. Love it! Will be using it a lot this summer.

5wonderful baby hatSep 03, 2009
This is a really good sun hat. It is easy to adjust the strap and the plastic hook and loop closure (doesn't get fuzzed up) is really easy to use even with a squirmy child. The elastic back makes for a good fit as long as the head's big enough to fill in the crown. The width of the brim is probably the best feature. It's wide enough to shade the whole face. The wide brim does limit what you can see but that's the nature of it.

I have found sizing to be tricky with these hats. This infant hat was a little too big last summer when my daughter was around 6 months old. It probably would have fit her perfectly at a year but that's winter for us. She can still wear the hat at age 18 months but the brim isn't quite wide enough now to cover her whole face and often doesn't shade her eyes enough. (She tends to be slightly smaller than average in head circumference.)

We also have the next size up of this hat but it is still too big. She mostly wears this one though she has a tendency to want to pull it off because the bottom of the crown falls over her eyes. I have to keep tugging the hat back to keep it out of her eyes but I prefer this one to the other because it does a better job (when it's in the right place) of shading her face. It will hopefully be perfect by next summer.

I bought each member of our family one of these hats and I wear mine all summer long. It's comfortable even on the hottest days. The adjustable cord is easy to use and is comfortable to have around my neck when I take my hat off for a breather in the shade. They are well-made and don't suffer from water use. They also resist dirt like you wouldn't believe. These hats are in use on a baby and an active boy almost daily in the summer time and I have not needed to wash them yet after 2 summers. My 8-year-old son's brim has gotten squished, folded, flattened, etc. and it's a little misshapen but not much considering the abuse! The cord on his was ripped off by another child when he was playing at a public pool and I never took the time to sew it back on. I have since lost the cord but he still wears his hat when playing soccer or riding his scooter. He even will put it on underneath his bicycle helmet, folding up the brim on the outer edges to open up his visibility. The hat will come off if it's very windy outside but it continues to be the hat we choose for hot, sunny days and though my son prefers his baseball caps for the fashion factor, he's glad for the sun hat when he wears it.

We all especially notice how great these hats are when we're on the water. It greatly reduces eye strain from water reflection and with sunglasses, we last several hours longer on the water and avoid red eyes and headaches.

5Great Hat!May 22, 2009
I absolutely love this product. I bought it when my baby boy was 10 months old and we have been using it every day since either on a stroll or in the swimming pool. It covers his head very well and he cannot take it off because of the strap. I highly recommend it and I continue buying this product as my son grows.

2Goofy style and color; too big for 10 month oldJul 29, 2008
The pros are that it looked like a good quality hat that would definitely keep the sun out of my baby's face. Lightweight, fabric that dries easily. And the cord is a good attempt at keeping it on her head. The cons were that it was totally goofy looking, the color (pink) was pretty different than the picture (I was hoping for rose), and it was huge on my 10 month old. The sizing said something like "Fits 0-18 months." I should have stopped right there. That's like saying your 1 year old's Pampers will fit you when you're old enough to need them again yourself. Needless to say I returned it. I guess hats are one of those (many) products that it's better to buy in person.
