we bought 2 for our toddlers and I appreciate how light these hats are - important in this tiresome California weather.
Other obvious pluses - wide brim protects well face and neck, and laces help it to stay on a head a little longer especially during activities.

Searched high and low for a good sun hat that had UPF. Don't look anywhere else, just buy this hat.

I like that this hat blocks the sun. However, if you are using it for the purpose of blocking the sun, it is probably hot. My daughter screamed after wearing it for a few minutes. when I took the hat off- her whole head was sweaty. it doesn't allow air to breathe. I recommend not wasting your money and purchasing a cotton breathable hat instead.

got this for my 9 month old and we love it. the uv protection and adjustable sizing are great. the brim is nice and wide too. just perfect.

This hat is fully adjustable to fit any infant's head. My son has a smaller head (4 mths 25%) and it works fine. On windy days the chin strap comes in handy. He doesn't seem bothered by it and has never fussed when I put it on. It shades his ears, neck, head, eyes, and nose. We bought it in khaki so it wouldn't absorb the heat of the day. We had been given a hat similar to this in navy blue and it got WAY too hot on his head. We took the iPlay hat to the pool and it faired well in the water and dried quickly. Will definitely use this hat all summer. Great buy for a great price.
